So far this week, Class Spain have been learning about division, poetry and parts of a flower. We have been dividing using Numicon, counting patterns, sharing and grouping. We had a very dramatic and expressive Wednesday morning as we learnt how to perform poems. To begin with we watched the master Michael Rosen perform his poem ‘Chocolate Cake’ and from that, we identified the features we needed to use in our own performance. It was so much fun and Class Spain has some real thespians! On Thursday afternoon, we examined a potting plant and identified the parts and their functions. There are a few green fingered children who were really interested and hands-on with the plants, easily spotting the roots, stem, petals and leaves. We are missing Mrs Hicks very much but looking forward to Shine and the famous SAX-FACTOR tomorrow!!
